Md. Imamul Haque is a seasoned finance professional with over 13 years of global experience in financial management, international trade, and strategic planning. His expertise spans multiple markets, including Sweden, the USA, and Bangladesh, bringing a strong foundation in global financial practices and cross-border trade operations.
Mr. Haque has significant experience in international trade and trade finance, managing large-scale transactions, including syndication financing of $70 million and securing $15 million in foreign loans. He has worked extensively with trade instruments such as Letters of Credit (L/C), Bank Guarantees (BG), and structured financing for several Power projects at Bangla Trac Group, worth over $420 million. His deep understanding of trade finance has enabled businesses to optimize working capital, manage liquidity, and negotiate favorable terms with financial institutions.
In the US market, he served as Financial Controller for a real estate group overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis for 65 entities with a combined asset value of $105 million. In Sweden, he led budgeting, forecasting, and financial restructuring for a $1.25 billion pharmaceutical group.
He holds a master’s degree in accounting and management Control from Stockholm Business School (SBS), Stockholm University, Sweden, and an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, he earned an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA, UK. As a Fellow Member of ICMAB, Mr. Haque integrates his professional qualifications with advanced technical skills in tools like Power BI, SAP, and QuickBooks to drive growth and efficiency.
